General Mills Makes Regenerative Ag Commitment

A shareholder advocacy group applauds a recent announcement that General Mills is committing to advance one million acres of farmland to holistic practices by 2030.

Christy Spees, environmental program manager for California non-profit As You Sow, says the food company giant is investing in regenerative agriculture.

“The aim is healthier soil, more bio-diversity, capturing carbon in the soil to make the farm not only less destructive, but actually promoting long-term sustainability of that soil and land.”
