Senior Staff Attorney

Michael Corley joins As You Sow as Senior Staff Attorney, bringing extensive experience in environmental law, public interest litigation, and nonprofit leadership. He has spent much of his career using the legal system to protect communities and the environment, most recently serving as Deputy Director of the South Carolina Environmental Law Project, where he worked on complex environmental litigation, regulatory matters, and community-based advocacy.

Michael also brings substantial nonprofit management experience, including serving as Executive Director of a nature preserve, where he led conservation initiatives, property acquisition and management, infrastructure projects, and fundraising. His work has spanned environmental litigation, organizational leadership, and efforts to advance meaningful protections for communities and natural resources.
